Be still and know that I am God.  (Psalms 46:10)

We live in a noisy world. We seemingly must have our minds occupied at all times with multiple sources of attention-grabbing "noise". And yet, the Word of God says, "make it your ambition to lead a quiet life" - 1 Thessalonians 4:11.

Exodus 14:11-12, "Do not fear! Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord".  We are sometimes reminded that we don't hear well while we're talking, but Moses intimates that it also helps our seeing if we are "still and silent" to better see and hear.  Wonderful advice!

Could it be that we so occupy our eyes and ears with the constant "noise" and "flicker" of our gadgets and technology that we prevent ourselves at times from seeing and hearing God?

Take time to be still and silent in the wonder of creation and in the enjoyment of God's inspired Word.  Allow your eyes and your ears time to see and hear God's glory by "unplugging" and disconnecting" whenever and wherever possible and let God's peace fill your hearts today.

Have a Blessed Month
